HOMETOWN
This section of Mondo Irlando is devoted to Ballymoney, a chunk of land in County Antrim what spawned
The Duke, and also some other, more trivial stuff, as you will see via these guides to various areas. I
don't know a hell of a lot about the Historicalised Importance of many of the places what used to line my
way to high school, work and so-on, but I do know about the bullshit concocted by folks about some bits
are haunted, or stories about fellas who got dunk in certain areas and crazy shit unfurled.
It might tend to get all auto with the biographicals, is what I’m suggesting.

celebrating my birthday.

I was being deliberately oblique and artistic and whatnot with the title. The Duke’s Hometown is actually
all about the town what has been my home for the last forever. So, sorry about the surrealism and stuff.
The Old Graveyard
Sounds like the name of a James Whale flick, but is actually a fairly accurate description of this
graveyard, what is very old indeed.
The Abandoned Quarry
This right here is one of the most beautiful of all the places I ever bothered to walk to. It’s about half a
mile from my backyard, so long as you walk in the right direction, which is West, I think, compass fans.
